Where are we?

Brocklands lies on the edge of the village of Rathmell, 3 miles south of Settle in North Yorkshire. Here the river Ribble meanders between the Yorkshire Dales to the east and the Forest of Bowland on the west side. The site looks up the valley towards Settle, and beyond it to Penyghent and the Three Peaks country.

From Skipton take the A65 to Settle. At the roundabout before Settle stay on A65 (first exit). Take first left signed Wigglesworth and Rathmell; 2 miles to Rathmell; go straight through village and out again. At bottom of slope go over stone bridge and take immediate left to Brocklands.
